There may be value in either fixing it, or making changes elsewhere.
If I open the document then export it as a PDF, the exported page numbers are
wrong. It says "Page 2 of 2".

Try to do this:
1) Open new writer document
2) to header insert - page number and insert - field - page count. Like "page
number" of "page count"
3) by ctrl+enter make more pages, in my example in
