The 6.2.x issue is different than the original issue here, and is tracked in
bug 124109 (which should be fixed in the next point release).

Unable to reproduce on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US (1803) i7-7700K with 32GB
ram and admin install of a
recent master/6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID:
ce01727e4d6779ea128aa1be09f4af8cad4e1854 and the 3rd party NexusFont v2.6.2
Windows font manager.

Using an in NexusFont to load the Windows font cache for a moderate sized
collection of fonts ~50 did cause LibreOffice to slow and show
unresponsive--but once NexusFont and LibreOffice had parsed the newly activated
fonts (they are not installed to system, rather NexusFont manages their mounts
and unmounts and makes them available to applications) the added fonts were
available to use in LibreOffice (Writer).

Closing Writer and LibreOffice then removing the folder of fonts in NexusFont
caused no issue. On relaunch of LibreOffice, the fonts have been removed from
the font list and show as not installed.

This all seems to work correctly if with a bit of delay on the LibreOffice
side--can imagine the drag of parsing in a much larger folder of fonts.

Defining the print range .. worked.

I am puzzled as to why the cells than show as empty but
the frame of the table shows up well.
if the frame shows up shouldn't the cells also be in
the print range?

Ok. I checked now...
I think the problem is not about export, it is about what is define to be
printed or preview or exported...

To change that select all cells that need to be printed/preview/exported and go
to Format - Print Ranges - Define.

Thats the way to tell your sheet what to print.

Please test this and come back with an answer.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116782] Document colors palette not working in Impress and Draw

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116782

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105884] Make the tabs of tabbed Notebookbar follow KDE style

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105884

Created attachment 150541
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=150541=edit
Qt5 tab theming (broken)

Just FYI: the tabbing widget is currently not Qt themed at all and never has
been. It's completely drawn by LO itself. Nothing has changed since my comment
6. Actually the patch from back then is lost; or more probably I couldn't get
it working back then, just like I tried again a few days ago.

As for the current state: something is very broken with the way LO tries to
draw various frames. The attached patch can theme the tabs, but I couldn't get
it to draw the frame of the tab widget at all!

There is still the general frame painting problem. That's also the reason the
Calc input bar has no frame, same for the Writer "character" format dialog,
where the font preview at the end of the dialog has no frame.

I don't understand, why the edit lines are drawn correctly, as this code isn't
really correct, but somehow works. Any change I made to this code broke it or
crashed LO.

Same for the border of popup menus.
It looks even worse, if you start QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=windows
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt5.

I've tried to fix this code multiple times now. I've read the Qt code, but even
that didn't help me understand what's wrong.
All this may actually be a Qt bug - I don't know.

This crashes for me in any themed VCL plugin on Linux.
Well it actually doesn't crash with qt5 in the debugger, but without the
debugger, so it looks like a timing problem.
It doesn't crash with gen. LO is master a few days old with some addition Qt

Interestingly the tooltip of the bar is "input bar", the tooltip of the button
"expand formular bar".

It is reproducible for me, but given these weird circumstances...

When an icon style is changed in Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸ View usually affects
open windows immediately: this is e.g. the case for Writer, where all toolbars
are repainted with new icons as soon as Options dialog is closed or settings
are applied.

However, Start Center does not react immediately to the change. If a module is
started (so that Start Center is closed), and then all documents are closed to
return to Start Center, then all its icons are of course repainted to use new
icon set. Looks like some notification is not watched.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us and good to hear the issues you had
have been fixed already. Should you encounter any additional bugs, please open
separate bug reports for these. This here is a meta bug, i.e. it doesn't deal
with any bug descriptions directly, but just has them set as dependencies (s.
the "Depends on" field) in order to keep track of all kde-related issues.

We don't have this problem with Linux (OpenSUSE and Kubuntu). So it seems there
are a lot more bugs with macOS/Base/PostgreSQL. Seems this combination isn't

I'm using the JDBC from my distribution OpenSUSE 15: postgresql-jdbc-9.4.jar
I could see both possibilities there: Creating views in pane "Table" and
creating views from a query. But this shouldn't be the problem here. The native
connector doesn't offer this but it would be possible to create views through
Tools > SQL. Why should we provide a native driver if JDBC-driver works in a
better way?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124554] New: FORMATTING Text colour change on pdf export of Impress presentation based on new master slide with dark background

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124554

Bug ID: 124554
Summary: FORMATTING Text colour change on pdf export of Impress
presentation based on new master slide with dark
background
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: colin...@outlook.com

Description:
Creating a new master slide with a dark background automatically changes the
text to a lighter colour, as expected. When this master is applied to a slide,
the colour of the text changes in the displayed slide (as it should), but when
one attempts to print the slide, the text reverts to the default black making
it unreadable on top of a dark background. Manually changing the text colour on
each slide addresses this issue, but obviously isn't an ideal solution for
large presentations.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new master slide with a dark background. The text will
automatically become light coloured.
2. Create a slide from a this new slide master.
2. Go to "Print" under file.
3. Select "Handouts" under the document dropdown box.
4. Check the print preview generated in the "Print" dialog box.

Actual Results:
Text remains the default black colour when printed (visible in print preview).

Expected Results:
Text should stay the same colour as is displayed before trying to print.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It seems like this is an issue with the slide master applying the colour change
to the text as displayed, but then not applying the colour change to the
printed slides or handouts. Note that the change has to be done to the slide
master--if the background colour is changed for an individual slide using the
slide properties dialog box, the modified text colour is displayed properly
when printing.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 49033] Change case -> Sentence case doesn't honor selection; case of entire sentence changes (STR comment 20)

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49033

(In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #34)
> 1. What should be done when a sentence start is selected, but not to the
> sentence end? (I'm pretty confident the sentence start here should be
> capitalized.)

Yes, with selection of start of sentence--but not the whole run should honor
the selection--capitalize first character, the rest of the selection to lower
case per sentence case).

> 2. What should be done if a sentence end is selected, but not from start?
> (This one IMO is not that straightforward: we can capitalize the first
> selected character, or we may skip the sentence; my take would be capitalize
> first selected character.)

Yes, with selection made--honor the selection. Capitalize the first selected
character, remainder of selection to lower case.

> 3. What should be done if selection starts in the middle of a word (possibly
> not the first in a sentence)? We could capitalize first character of the
> word (again not good for Shift+F3); or first selected character; or skip the
> sentence. (I'd capitalize first selected character.)

Yes, with selection made--pass exactly that string for transliteration--and
then only the TITLE_CASE would need to expand to its word bound.

> 4. What should we do when there's no selection? We could capitalize first
> character of current word (if any; like UPPERCASE at al work); or current
> sentence. (My take is Capitalize current sentence.)

With no selection, i.e. text cursor only, this remains the rub! But, if no
selection--should probably not apply to the whole sentence, applying just to
the word at the text cursor position would "protect" users from clobbering
things. Sentence case would then match the other transliterations.

> 5. What should be done with Capitalize Every Word function, that now also
> expands to whole words, even if only parts are selected? It's not in
> Shift+F3 IIUC, but it would become inconsistent. (I'd say change it
> consistently.)

Hmm, looks like the TITLE_CASE transliteration has always been in the
caserotate.cxx -- obviously it has to apply to the Word bounds, current word
for no selection--and to all words of a selection (including the opening word).

> 6. Should we only do the change for Word, or for other modules
> (Calc/Impress/etc) too for consistency? (I'd say yes.)

Needs consistency across _ALL_ modules

As a side bar to handling this--added a request for an UNO action to "Select
Sentence" as bug 124552, to more precisely select sentence via a keyboard
shortcut rather than a mouse cursor drag.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124553] New: Add adjustX method to B2DPoint

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124553

Bug ID: 124553
Summary: Add adjustX method to B2DPoint
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: alexanderfar...@tutanota.com

Description:
Recently I have been looking into resolving
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103322

This involves changing the types of variables from tools::Point to
basegfx::B2DPoint.

tools::Point has a method called AdjustX(long nHorzMove), which adds nHorzMove
to x.

basegfx::B2DPoint does not have such a method. So calls to AdjustX(nHorzMove)
are being replaced by something like setX(getX() + nHorzMove).

It works fine of course but I think adjustX looks cleaner and it feels like a
step backwards when moving from tools::Point to basegfx::B2DPoint.

A quick OpenGrok search for AdjustX reveals it is used frequently in the
codebase, so it makes sense to add it to B2DPoint.

If it is agreed that we should add such a method I would like to try to
implement it.

Actual Results:
basegfx::B2DPoint does not have a method similar to tools::Point AdjustX
method.

Expected Results:
basegfx::B2DPoint has a method like tools::Point AdjustX.

Reproducible: Always

"unlocks" the textareas again.

2) more important ! starting a presentation displays a big white window (with

no slideshow or doesn't start at all...

it just doesn't work!

removing the package "libreoffice-kde5" makes everything work again (but it

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124530] PostgreSQL Native Driver: Images aren't shown in form when content of field is created in query

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124530

JDBC
I was unable to use the JDBC driver connection to create a form.
If I use the wizard, it appears to work, but a form is never saved to the ODB
file, just temporary ODT files which then disappear (but appear in the
StartCenter and are impossible to load ("missing file" error message).

If I try to use the manual form creation, there is no way to bind the form
control to the data field of the db table, in the Control Properties Data tab,
no fields are visible, and I can not activate the general form properties to
point to a table to which to bind the form.

Direct PG Driver
I was able to create a form using the wizard, then modify the controls on the
form.
However, replacing the original text control with an image control, saving the
form, then opening the form in data entry mode to enter a first record causes
LO to hang after I click on the image control, point to an image (e.g. EPS
image), which is displayed, and then attempt to write the record set to the
database. In my case, instead of writing the path, it appears to try and write
binary data to the field defined as TEXT.

I am then forced to quit LO, and no image data or image path is saved to the
database - a query on the table "SELECT * from PG_LOconn" via pgconsole also
shows that the field pathname seems to contain an endless stream of nothing -
here again, I am forced to quit the console with the q command to regain
control.

Seems that there are more problems on macOS with such a setup.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124552] New: A Sentence selection UNO action not provided for assignment to keyboard use

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124552

Bug ID: 124552
Summary: A Sentence selection UNO action not provided for
assignment to keyboard use
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu

For use in the GUI, we do not provide a "Select Sentence" action although we
provide a "Select Word" and "Select Paragraph".

Other UNO actions for selections are based on current line position, or
paragraph position--select to end of line, to start of line. Select to end of
paragraph, to start of paragraph.

Currently the only means to select to "Sentence" runs is with a mouse button
action--"triple click". Or to drag text cursor from start to end of sentence
(error prone).

The missing, and lexicaly useful ICU lib based "Sentence" selection would
complement the mouse controls supporting a keyboard shortcut/accelerator
customization assignment.

Current mouse button actions are: double-click--select word;
triple-click--select sentence; quadruple-click--select paragraph. Strange in
that Word and Paragraph selection exist and can be assigned to keyboard
customizations, not so for making a Sentence selection.

Sorry, everything is not OK here. All fonts till Dejavu Sans can render the
text perfectly, but there are Keshide (or Tatvil) marks in wrong places in
texts rendered by ‫‪Liberation‬‬ ‫‪sans‬‬ or ‫‪Lohit‬‬ ‫‪Devanagari‬‬

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124550] New: In Writer, when a mail merge document has different header/footer on a first page, final merged document has page headers messed up

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124550

Bug ID: 124550
Summary: In Writer, when a mail merge document has different
header/footer on a first page, final merged document
has page headers messed up
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sma...@email.t-com.hr

Description:
Mailmerge data is stored in a ODS, ODS is registered as a data source, and then
displayed within Writer using View | Data Sources. Mail Merge toolbar is shown
using View | Toolbars | Mail merge.
Mail merge document is formed, with different page style for the first page.
The first page has a bitmap image as a part of page header, other pages don't.
After defining mail merge fields within mail merge document, clicking on "Save
merged documents" (on the MM toolbar), and then choosing "save as one large
document" renders a document that doesn't replicate the first page style in
proper places. Clicking on "Edit individual documents" opens up a document that
has correct first page styles for all mailmerge instances but the first one.
The first instance (for the first data row from ODS) uses first page style for
all pages...
I used this same workflow 6 months ago and it worked OK then, I think, but I
can't remember which version did I use then.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a mail merge document in writer, having a different first page style
(i.e. different first page header)
2. save merged documents as one big document - no first page style is
replicated
3. edit individual documents - first page style is replicated in all instances
but the first one.

Actual Results:
Merged documents with first page headers messed up in one way or the other

Expected Results:
Merged documents with proper first page styles

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Workaround - use "Edit individual documents", in the dataset repeat the first
data row twice, and in final document delete the first instance manually.

The corruption issue should be fixed by the following commit, it will be part
of the next version of CODE as well.
Ultimately implementing frozen rows/columns in online would be the best
solution, but that'll require more work. The feature is tracked in bug 116858.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124549] New: Currently active fill mode button on Area tab can be deactivated by clicking on it

2019-04-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124549

Bug ID: 124549
Summary: Currently active fill mode button on Area tab can be
deactivated by clicking on it
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: difficultyBeginner, easyHack, skillCpp, topicUI
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Clicking on a currently active fill mode toggle button on "Area" tab
deactivates that button, leaving no active button in the group.

E.g., open a Page Style dialog on the Area tab; select Color button (so it is
pressed). Click it second time => it gets deactivated (not pressed) - but still
focused; now click on Palette combobox below, which moves focus. Now all the
buttons in the fill mode group look identically inactive, despite in reality,
Color mode is active.

The problem is that clicking the toggle button should never toggle it off - so
a click handler is needed for the toggle buttons in SvxAreaTabPage class
(cui/source/tabpages/tparea.cxx), which would check the new status and return
to active status if needed.

That's really odd and I'm running out of ideas...

OK, we should proceed--apply SENTENCE_CASE with a bimodal behavior [ selection
| no selection ].

But, Mike K's list of questions from comment 34 need a resolution.

Also there is Justin L's work on bug 63529 and his abandoned
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/33581/ which tweaked word boundaries and
proposed some control over the transliteration sequence depending on current
state.

Should we address that from UX perspective--or let it be, and just be satisfied
here with consistent "bimodal" selection handling of the fixed transliteration
sequence for caserotate.cxx, i.e.:

TITLE_CASE -> SENTENCE_CASE -> LOWERCASE_UPPERCASE -> UPPERCASE_LOWERCASE;
