[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149390] New: From Insert Hyperlink... (to Document), search doesn't drill down
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149390 Bug ID: 149390 Summary: From Insert Hyperlink... (to Document), search doesn't drill down Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: lblyt...@gmail.com Insert Hyperlink... (+K) opens a dialogue. Select the Document option on the left, to link to a document known to exist on a local filesystem. To the right of the Path: textbox, click the Open File button to launch a file browser in order to locate the document. The file browser offers a search button (via a magnifying-glass icon at the upper-right). The search facility only finds "hits" immediately below the directory in which the search is launched - it doesn't drill down into subdirectories below that. So, unless you know the parent directory of the document you're looking for, the search is basically useless: instead you may as well just manually browse the current directory for the document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This is also in line with what Bug 149230 is trying to build. My only concern is with how DOCX files will be imported. Since the ToC will have been crated by MS Word, the ToC entries must remain as they were created by MS Word. Hence empty entries that were ignored by Word while creating the ToC must not be added during import. My suggestion is that this feature you're proposing be applied only for ToC created by LO Writer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

There is already several images over the document. It worked well for the full day, until crash when I moved a few centimeters an image i just pasted in the document. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146928 --- Comment #26 from JO3EMC --- I also don't understand. No one needs extra switching operations in a layout based on traditional styles. No one. I don't understand why you want to increase the step of operation so much. However, as mentioned above, the Comment 23 proposal seems relatively better than the one implemented in 7.4 currently and may help many users, in my opinion. It doesn't seem perfect to me at all, but it might be better to adopt it than to keep implementing the current one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

If I run in Safe Mode the missing file close icon re-appears. However, after renaming my LibreOffice/4/user folder and restarting LO to create a new profile the file close icon is once again missing. This leaves me somewhat confused if the upgrade has corrupted my user profile or not. Not sure what to do now. Each of the paragraphs have an "Entrance: Appear" effect. When I move forward through the effects in presentation mode, everything is fine.
