[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75162] Unnecessary Text Being Spoken When Reading in Libreoffice Writer Using NVDA Screen Reader
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75162 --- Comment #6 from Marco Zehe marco.z...@googlemail.com --- I just took a look at the soffice.py appModule for NVDA, and believe this may have something to do with a wider-ranging bug in LibreOffice where the IAccessibleText interface is not being exposed. The states I see in OpenOffice and LibreOffice for a paragraph are identical, but in OpenOffice, NVDA suppresses some information, in LibreOffice, it doesn't. There are quite a number of instances where NVDA tests for the presence of the IAccessibleText interface and supposedly fails. A bug most likely related to this is bug 74242, which also shows a variation of the IAccessibleText interface not being present or properly exposed by LibreOffice. So yeah, Marlin, you're right, we do have a bug here, and quite a serious one, too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74242 --- Comment #7 from Marco Zehe marco.z...@googlemail.com --- (In reply to comment #6) possibly due to the VclMultiLineEdit/MultiLineEdit split where MultiLineEdit was split into two pieces and most moved into vcl and the other based on it. Possibly we need to move the last piece into vcl too and re-merge them. The problem with exposing IAccessibleText seems to be more widespread than just dialog components. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75193] FORMATTING: Stock Chart 4 Bug for LO 4.2.0.4
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75193 --- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- Opened the .odt file with LibO 4.2.0.4 on Win7: - between the underlying table and the chart specification, low and high are interverted, - it results in the predictable wrong display (the rectangle top is low value and the rectangle height is low-high, negative). The question remains on when the change occured: - is the interversion a wrong behaviour new to Lib0 4.2? - or was the interversion present in your .odt file already in 4.1, and LibO had an automatic feature to reaffect min value to low and max value to hight, feature that had been abandonned for a reason I don't know about? Because you ensure that the SAME file is right when opened with LibO 4.2.0.4 and wrong when opened with LibO 4.1.5.1, we can conclude to the second hypothesis. The reason for no more reaffectation of low and high values when rectangle shows negative height seems legitim IMHO. So not a bug, but an error in your .odt that LibO doesn't correct anymore. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71961 --- Comment #18 from tommy27 ba...@quipo.it --- (In reply to comment #16) @tommy27 attachment 91661 [details] when opened in Skydrive and PowerPoint 2007 has lost all of its original formatting. ok. that .pptx file was create by LibO after conversion from .odp attachment 91659 if MSO sees the same wrong formatting it means that there's a FILESAVE issue. now we need a simple .pptx created with MSO which proves to load correctly in PowerPoint but fail with LibO... if it's like that, it would imply that a FILEOPEN issue exists too, which has probably the same root. what I think is that LibO has a bug about fitting text in .PPTX textboxes, either if the .PPTX is created by LibO or MSO. I used LO 4.3 master~2014-02-19_01.39.31 to open the original .ODP file and saved as a PPTX. This time, the text was Arial 32 instead of 18. However, the text still does not fit into text box as it does in Impress. the font size change is Bug 73627 (fixed in 4.3 but still present in 4.2) so it's normal that 4.3 master shows the correct font size (as the original .odp) while in 4.2 the font size shrinks to 18 In the future, if you have a theory as to how document may look in Office, use the free view at: https://skydrive.live.com/ good to know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

OS: Mac OS X 10.9.1 (Mavericks) LibreOffice: 4.1.4 (32-bit) and 4.2.0.4 (64-bit osx = 10.8 version). I have made a simplest presentation and screenshots from both screens with different scenarios. Basically I couldn't get nothing on the secondary screen (secondary is defined as in System Preferences the one that hasn't menu bar on it, LibreOffice refers to it as Display 2). The screens are using different resolutions and 'Mirror Displays' option is turned off in System Preferences. Turning on mirroring works as expected - both screens are switched to the same resolution and presentation is displayed correctly on both screens, but as expected, LibreOffice sees only one display and doesn't show a presenter screen at all. LibreOffice 4.1.4 worked fine under OSX 10.7.5, broke after upgrading the OS (Libreoffice wasn't reinstalled during that), upgrading LibreOffice didn't change anything. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75208 Priority: medium Bug ID: 75208 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FORMATTING: Lots of formatting problems in complex .docx document Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: gork...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: unspecified Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 94362 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=94362action=edit complex .docx document with lots of formatting issues when opened in LO With every new version of OO first and then LO I've been testing how my 2009 docx PhD thesis looked. Back in the day the formatting problems were horrendous. Now it is more bearable but still a long shot from perfect interoperativity. I am not sure if this may be of help but decided to attach the document as an example of a real world complex docx file in which it becomes impossible to work switching from MS Office and LO, something necessary in collaborative environments as academia. Hopefully it can be used as a test-case to help nail down all the formatting bugs existent. To replicate, simply open the file in MS Office 2007 and then in LO 4.2. Most problems are focused on figures not showing, text frames now showing all the content (e.g. search for Cuadro 2), etc. If needed I can try to list the formatting problems thoroughly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69066] Upgrading LO requires user to terminate Explorer.exe on Windows because of LO Explorer/Shell extensions
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69066 Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Upgrading LO requires user |Upgrading LO requires user |to terminate Explorer.exe |to terminate Explorer.exe |on Windows |on Windows because of LO ||Explorer/Shell extensions --- Comment #25 from Michael Stahl mst...@redhat.com --- (In reply to comment #23) (In reply to comment #22) that is the _first_ report of somebody claiming to have this problem on a fresh installation with no older LO installed on the system; since this bug is about upgrades it's probably a different bug which would be UNCONFIRMED, not NEW as this one. Please forgive if I'm making a wrong assumption here. It seems to me that it's not a separate bug. The issue is not between the installer program and the installed LO, but between the installer program and Explorer.exe. So, it should make no difference between an upgrade and a fresh install. No, _this_ bug is about LO bundled Explorer extensions to view thumbnails of various documents, which somehow prevents installation of new LO versions presumably because these Explorer extension files cannot be overwritten or deleted; naturally on a fresh install you won't have LO Explorer extensions running. (actually i cannot imagine how there could be a conflict between Explorer.exe and LO installation without a LO previously installed on the system, but this is Windows and it's full of mysteries so what do i know anyway...) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69066 --- Comment #26 from Sander Voerman r...@savoerman.nl --- (In reply to comment #25) (actually i cannot imagine how there could be a conflict between Explorer.exe and LO installation without a LO previously installed on the system, but this is Windows and it's full of mysteries so what do i know anyway...) Just speculating: I did have MS Office 2013 installed, which also has bindings for open document filetypes. In addition to explorer.exe, the LO installer sometimes also mentioned a Microsoft Office document cache process as one of the things it needed to be terminated before proceeding with the installation. So perhaps Microsoft Office causes a similar connection between explorer and the open document filetypes, and thereby a similar conflict for the LO installer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
