Adjusting commands in the Glade .UI configuration that are defined as .uno: can already be done (by script, with Glade, or via the new Tools -> Customize dialog). Also, please note that in LibreOffice there is no Drop Cap command. An individual character can be styled or direct formatted for the effect. Or better, is to insert a Draw Text box holding the styled character(s), anchored 'as character' at the start of a paragraph. =-ref-= [1] https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 101513 *** Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102062 [Bug 102062] [META] Notebookbar: bugs and enhancements -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128164] New: Customisable "Tabbed" user interface
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128164 Bug ID: 128164 Summary: Customisable "Tabbed" user interface Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: matthewtatescarbro...@gmail.com First of all, I would like to thank the team for implementing the tabbed U.I., I am aware that many people did not like the implementation, but I believe it was a good idea. That being said, I think it would be better if it could be customisable and have the ability to import/export scripts that are responsible for handling the layout of the tabbed interface. To be most clear, what I am referring to is the ability to add/remove custom tabs beyond the eight default, as well as customising the 8 default. The tabbed UI, or "not-ribbon," does a good job at mimicking the MS Office Ribbon, however, some shortcuts are missing from it that may be on the default, such as the ability to insert a drop cap from the Insert Tab. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128163] New: Better line/paragraph numbering
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128163 Bug ID: 128163 Summary: Better line/paragraph numbering Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: matthewtatescarbro...@gmail.com I am requesting that the line/paragraph numbering be improved. It is very well as it is, but as *I* understand, part of it is redundant. To clarify, I am talking about the feature under: Tools -> Line Numbering... -> Position. Currently, there are four options, Left, Right, Inner, and Outer. I would like to request that a fifth option be added, perhaps called "Mirror." Left aligns the line numbers on all pages, recto and verso, on the left side, and Right--right. Inner places places the numbers in alternating pattern on the left of all rectos and right on all versos, as to be suspected. So too, does Inner the opposite of Outer. My interests are in using LibreOffice Writer for formatting scripts, and it is fine, however, I personally like having numbers on all of the scene headers for my scripts, however, in a screenplay (script,) the scene numbers are mirrored on both sides of the line. e.g.: 1 INT. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42427 --- Comment #24 from QA Administrators --- Dear Wouter Van Hemel, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126440 --- Comment #2 from Marc Pare --- I have time to play around with the issue and have found that there seems to be a conflict with the Nvidia driver used with Mageia Linux and KDE only. I am assuming that this issue is most likely to happen with other Linux distros where a user is trying to install the .rpm files from the LibreOffice download pages. There has been a "crashreport" generated that you can find details here: http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/d56fbed1-37c1-43ed-87da-fab000cb769a This will hopefully help with resolving this issue. The temporary fix is to log into any desktop manager such as LXDE where the .rpm packages work out as they should. Note that there is the same issue with the 6.3.x LibreOffice .rpm downloaded from the LibreOffice website. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126890] Scale "Tool" Enhancement
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126890 --- Comment #4 from Tony Stone --- (In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #3) > Hello Tony, > Thanks for reporting this issue. > So, if I understand you correctly, you want to open a PDF and draw scale > lines on it? > You can use Dimensions lines for that. Am I missing something ? I think you might be right. I was recently messing with the dimension lines. I guess my issue is this. For example: I open a 36x48 blueprint. I have a line on the drawing that I know the blueprint is representing as a 6 foot line for example. I would like to have a tool that lets me pick the ends of that line and tell LO Draw that that the scale of the drawing is however many actual inches on the drawing represents 6 foot. I am having a hard time explaining this but I hope this clears up what I am looking for. Also the dimension lines only label with decimal format. So I am trying to use LO draw in the field doing construction. I really need to have the dimension label read out as feet-inch. With fractions would be great too. Maybe have options to have fractions rounded to on an 8th or 16th scale? Would be awesome IMO. So if I draw a dimension in a door way the dimension should read something like 6'- 3-1/4" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I have used the cloud element. The problem it is not very "elegant"... If I need to bring attention to a part of a drawing on a large 36x48 drawing and I want the clouded part over a large area I don't have control on the amount of curves it creates. For example, it would need to have a lot more curves to look well if i was "clouding" a revision on an 8 inch square area like I said before, FoxIt PDF reader has an excellent "revision cloud" tool. Thus, this is a usability issue for ordinary users (business executives, secretaries, students, et al.). Maybe we are misunderstanding each other. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126117] No way to delete bad AutoComplete Words in Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126117 --- Comment #5 from Doug --- I don't quite understand why certain functions are not universally available across all the modules. Spell Check, Auto Complete, et. With the same abilities in each module. If I can delete a bad complete entry in Writer, I should be able to do it in Calc too. Generalized code libraries of these functions could solve the issue. and no, I have not looked at the source code to see the overall design. But as a user, it seems like each module has been created and coded independently with no common ground. The same would apply for the common general functions like print, sort, Query, et. I started this thread because I had no way to delete bad entries in the Calc Quick Entry. I am dyslexic do I have things I need to fix. OFTEN. On a side note: Until it is possible to import all Microsoft file types into this product, it will never become a 100% alternative. I don't want to work in the Microsoft cloud. So I want to be able to import my Access .MDB databases and move forward. Instead of having to try to get Access 2000 to work with Windows 10. Which I did achieve after several hiccups. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128159] New: Built-in cross references lose their "reference type" if opened or edited with LibreOffice in different "User Interface" language than originally created
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128159 Bug ID: 128159 Summary: Built-in cross references lose their "reference type" if opened or edited with LibreOffice in different "User Interface" language than originally created Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mcdiez+bugzi...@gmail.com Description: This happened when another person reviewed a document I had written, and said all figures had lost their reference type. When I created the document in LibreOffice Writer with English user interface, I had to create a 'custom' number range because the document was in Portuguese, and I had many figures - so, a number range "Figura" and many cross references to "Figura". Those cross references use the type "Category and Number" to show, say, "Figura 1". At the review, the person reported that "Figura 1" was actually showing just "1". I reopened the file in my computer, and everything was normal. So, I tried switching LO user interface to Portuguese, just to see if that happened. Bingo - no "Figura 1", just "1". I even tried fixing it, modifying every field in the document, changing any "Illustration" range to "Figura", but the problem persists if the document is opened in another user interface language. Steps to Reproduce: 0. LibreOffice user interface in, e.g., English (USA) 1. New document (or any document with built-in number ranges); 2. Insert caption - use any built-in number range (e.g. "Illustration"); 3. Insert cross-reference to captioned item, using style "Category and Number" (located in "Insert Reference to" dropdown); 4. Save; 5. Change LibreOffice user interface (e.g. Portuguese - Brazilian); 6. Open document saved in step 4; 7. Press space in front of that reference. Actual Results: Although the document looks fine when you open it, after you modify anything in it, the cross-reference category disappears. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128153] FILEOPEN: DOCX: Undefined style wrongly inherits from default paragraph style
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128153 --- Comment #3 from Justin L --- (In reply to Justin L from comment #2) > The absence of styles.xml triggers the fallback to Calibri/11. More specifically, it is the DocDefaults-rPrDefaults section that is required. The proposed patch for this references bug 108350 instead of this bug report. So this report can focus on the fontsize. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/80854 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126409] LibreOffice does not launch normally on macOS 10.15 Catalina beta
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126409 --- Comment #20 from Fred --- That appears to conflict with what I found. 1 - install LO. Fails to open, so forced with the ctrl-click "Open" option. Now works. 2 - start Langpack UK/GB. Starts without any problems, executes, exits. 3 - start LO. Starts without any problems, set to English UK, done. I'm not sure what is validated by Apple, but a langpack mod doesn't seem to change the status. That said, I haven't tried installing the Langpack *without* first starting (and thus authorising) LO - I suspect that will fail because LO has not yet had a permission override to execute. Slight caveat: this is from memory as I lack the time to test again right now, my apologies. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
