Read it, it cost a lot more than 5.49USD. The list price on the back of the book I have is 49.99 USD. The book is not bad if you are unfamiliar with the concept of running Linux under z/VM. If where you are, it costs only 5.59 USD, then you cannot go wrong. HTH McKown, John wrote:

I've found the following works for me /sbin/dasd_configure 0.0. 1 0 Of course, where equals the device number. Something like this should work the same as the old - echo add device range= command. You can also go in through YaST2, hardware, DASD, select device, activate --- works

I have some Linux images that are connecting via VCTCA that I want to change to use IUCV. I update TCP/IP stack under VM and, without thinking, started to cycle the affected Linux images. I only did two before I realized that I messed up. I didn't change the Linux configurations before boot!...

smbmount problem if share not available

During testing I mounted a windows directory via smbmount and then removed the share on the windows directory. Now I can not umount the directory nor can I fix it by re-sharing the windows directory. There is a mention of the mount timing out in the smbmount man page, but dont know how to
