I forgot to mention in the first that I am working with mdk 8.1. in this
even without alias l gives the output of ls.
the same alias was working in rh.
even after piping if option --color=yes is included it gives color output in
terminal.
How to get rid of the inbuilt (unknown place) alias l in
in my mdk 8.1, l gives the output of ls even without the alias. This alias
doesn't change the output. what to do?

I can use it under windows. But in linux I couldn't find ways to use it.

I cannot comment about servers working in mdk linux.
But mdk is good for desktop as most of the configurations are done
automatically. System is so made that is easier for a convert from windows.
I didn't see any problems at working in desktop for more than six months now.

I have installed debian potato in a machine. Celeron 433 with 32 MB ram. I
saw /dev/lp0, /dev/lp1 and /dev/lp2.
I also saw default printcap file configured for dotmatrix printer.
But when I used the command,
