delivery (at
best) closed source drivers.
If closed source drivers is what the community wants then this is a
way to achieve this.
I don't want to see user-space drivers happen through LinuxDVB or V4L2 API's.
I politely and respectfully nack this idea.

This is the second time I've seen the 'fix' to a problem by patching
the i2c driver. Fix the i2c bridge else we'll see this behavior
spreading to multiple i2c driver. It's just wrong.

Good work, thanks Hans.
I've made an inventory of all drivers that still use .ioctl and I am looking
for volunteers to tackle one or more drivers.

I'll take care of these and also the saa7164 driver.

So I think I was mistaken that the code itself is untested. I hope it's
possible to add full of this patch.
Has the DVB related change proven that it enables digital TV streaming?

A pretty large patch set which adds a number of important features to
the cx23885 driver.
I have a few cx25840 related
of
the driver.
GStreamer now works correctly using the v4l interfaces from the
driver, live video and audio viewing are now possible.
NTSC-ZZ-VBI now works correctly for RAW VBI decoding (although TVTime
still refuses to work correctly - tvtime bug)
