[Lxde-list] Update notifications in LXDE - Fedora

2015-10-10 Thread edwardp
Hi everyone. I have switched Linux distros from Debian to Fedora. In Debian, a notification came up shortly after login if software updates were available, but in Fedora, I'm not seeing this and have to manually run "dnf update" in a terminal each time. Is there a way for LXDE to display the s

Jerome, Is 0.10 available in the Fedora 22 repositories now, or will it take some time before it appears? I already have LXDE installed and had no idea LXQt was eventually going to replace it until I read about that. I would like to try it. Thank you. On November 2, 2015 7:42:16 AM EST, Je

Hello. Thank you for the information. I can always run "dnf" to see what versions are in the repos and once 0.10 and the two new packages you referenced are there, I'll install them. I looked at the screenshots on the web site, the desktop looks great. I also have a ThinkPad laptop that is no

[Lxde-list] LXDE Wikipedia Page

2020-08-25 Thread edwardp
The issue is that the current version of the LXDE Wikipedia page states 0.99.2 is the FINAL release. If this is not the case and LXDE is still being developed, then the Wikipedia page needs to be corrected. What I haven't seen, is a post from one of the LXDE developers either confirming or deny

I installed the Fedora 33 LXQt Spin in a virtual box (Gnome Boxes) and it runs great. The monitor (identified as 'Virtual-0') resolution comes up in 1024x768 each time, but the highest possible (full-screen) resolution is 1920x1002. When using the Monitor settings in the LXQt Configuration Center,
