Hello from a tester, I did not meet with success in setting up tex2lyx.exe and tex2lyx.cmd. I received the error message: Cannot open specified file. Create new document with this name? Originally, I had a C:\python24 not under Tools. So I made a directory c:\tools and moved python24

Bit of a mystery here. All was working well on my laptop as of the last time I used LyX (yesterday or the day before). Installed pre17 today and math screen fonts were munged; \times displayed as a pound sign, so of course I suspected Angus's handy work. :-) Ruurd's port was also affected.

Hi All, After reading all the inputs, I really wet worried about my installation so I decided to uninstall Lyx and reinstall it again, accepting all default settings proposed by the installer. Starting the program from the installer gave me the menus in english. After closing the program and
