You did not say the operating system you are using. If on Linux or
UNIX, there is the cups-pdf printer driver as well as various other
tools that you can use to extract selected pages.

I discovered that the problem is that the DVI is not displaying the
rotated caption correctly. This is Yap 2.4.1803 on Windows.
pdflatex displays the rotated caption correctly (and the figure once I
convert it to pdf).

processed correctly? I wouldn't think you would, since the theorem
environment simply isn't defined in the koma-script book class, and I've
run a short test here with just one included document. (I've attached
