I'm using Linux and if I open two LyX documents, I can't copy and paste
between the two windows.
I can select text in other windows and paste it by a mouseclick in a LyX
window.
Why can't I copy/paste between the LyX windows?

Hi there!
First I want to thank you all very much about the
struggle on the 'Lyx foreign auto names' affair!
I want to announce that the main problem was at
the 'Language package' place. It was
'\usepackage{ae,aecompl}'and I changed to
'\usepackage{babel}, as the advice by Carlos

Sorry, I can in fact see the user dir in the About menu; however,
placing my files there didn't fix the problem. Please help!

I've compiled with Dev-C++ and here is a exe file for windows users without a
compiler.

Your example file behaves here as expected. (I am sending you,

Hello guys! How are you?
Well, sorry to be bore, but the
'Layout->Document->Language', or
'Edit->Preferences->Language' or that sort of simple
things don't work to change the language of the auto
names inserted inside the dvi or pdf final outputs!
I want to tell you: NEITHER LINUX NOR
The 'Layout->Document->Language' has no effect to
change the automatic names at my Lyx. Maybe the
problem is at my application. I'm using Windows Lyx.
But I have it installed in Linux platform also, and
I'll try to do that way on it now. Please wait a

Do you know how can I insert my References without having the label
"Bibliography"? I would like to make this label as an Appendix title.
Thanks in advance
Walid
On Lyx1.3.6 you simply need to go to Layout->Document->Language
I dont have Edit->Text style either. Really it works if you do above..

Oh my!
Maybe this is the problem: I don't have at my Lyx

yours?

Do you have correct install of babel package of LaTeX? At View -> LaTeX Log,
you should find lines such as

I did it already before, but the dvi and pdf is
using english yet. :(
Please try with your Lyx and see if it is true for
you also, then give me the response, and thanks a lot
in advance!

Hey there!
I'd like to know how can I substitute the english
words that Lyx automatically put on my dvi or pdf
files (like "Contents", "October 16, 2005" and so
forth...) by another words at the same meaning but in
different tongues, once I write the most docs on

will help you. You need to give all three cpp files to the compiler or else
you will have to link it together by yourself.
