under Widnows. In my case the solution was the following:
1) Unistall the current Aspell
2) Get the dictionary files of Aspell6 from the LyX wiki page

of the bibtex apa classes will handle the citation and
referencing with no problem. I think your wife would
want apacite but this may depend on which document
class you use.
