I had a few days back this problem: how to give my document to somebody for corrections (anything except .lyx or .tex). The other person did try to install lyx (on Kubuntu) but probably Kubuntu's repositories host a previous version of LyX and we all know that it costs some time to get all things working straight forward. I only want to say, as an end-user, that I don't even think to go back to OpenOffice for documents. Even if there are cooperation problems. While I agree, more or less, with Piero Faustini that _one_ way to push LyX further is to ignore other documents (especially .doc's) I still think that a tool should be interoperable meaning, except of getting it working on most operating systems, that it is able to handle most known/established document formats (painless import/export). Sequential footnote numbering in book KOMA-Script: a difficult task?
Hi! I can't seem to find the way to get _one_ numbering of footnotes for the whole document (class book-KOMA Script) and not a per-chapter numbering, as it is the default in this document class. I've found some pointers on the web (in german language) suggesting to use footmisc [1] [2] but I can't get it working. Is it really that difficult? Hi all! I finally managed to get Greek Translations of various
Headings using the article(KOMA-Script) and the Language set to English.
I also use the kerkis package which is in my opinion very nice looking.
However there is one small problem concerning the \appendix. If am I
not wrong, \appendix is not an environment but a command (source: the
KOMA-Script documentation).
This is why,I think, it gets re-set to completely normal text and does
not match the other headings. I tried to play around with some settings
(\textbf, \huge, \large, etc.) but, obviously, this does not set the
same font as used in the rest of the document.
Can someone shed some light? How can I explicitly set the font for the
Appendix (in my case for \textgreek{Par\char136rthma})?

Adjust the \appendix to match "kerkis" fonts
Hi all! I finally managed to get "Greek" Translations of various
Headings using the article(KOMA-Script) and the Language set to English.
I also use the kerkis package which is in my opinion very nice looking.
However there is one small problem concerning the "\appendix". If am I
not wrong, \appendix is not an environment but a command (source: the
KOMA-Script documentation).
This is why,I think, it gets re-set to completely normal text and does
not match the other headings. I tried to play around with some settings
(\textbf, \huge, \large, etc.) but, obviously, this does not set the
same font as used in the rest of the document.
Can someone shed some light? How can I explicitly set the font for the
Appendix (in my case for "\textgreek{Par\char136rthma})?

If this is the "hyperlink" then I tried that. It works but it breaks the
"aesthetical homogeneity" of the way that all other url's appear.

1. It translates english words in greeklish ;-). To exemplify "GRASS"

I think I know the reason:
The breakurl is an extension to hyperref package that allows line-breakable
\url-like links when compiling via latex + dvips + ps2pdf
.. if the dvips driver is being used, the original \url doesn't allow line
breaks in the middle of the created link: the link comes in one atomic
piece. This package allows such line breaks in the generated links.
Note that this package is intended only for those using the dvips driver.
Users of the pdflatex driver already have this feature.

I have seen several color-related bugs/wishes[1] and I feel covered,
that is I am not going to file another ticket. I wish, as many others,
to have at some point an easy way to play around with custom colors (not
only the standard colors) for the text, for the notes, for the
links/urls, for footnotes, etc.
