Copy the .sty files in C:\Program Files\LyX16\Resources\tex (or wherever your
installation is), then open ClassicThesis.lyx, which is the "master" file
and make a pdf of the file. MiKTeX should automatically install any missing
packages. If it doesn't add them manually.

Hello everybody
I'm trying to do a small amendment to the citationstyle in LyX. I'm using a
custom citation style (custom.bst) and natbib author year. I'm satisfied
with the bibliography, however the citation in the text is like this: Smith

Hi,
I'm using Lyx 1.6.4 on Windows XP, in which \kappa cannot be displayed.
Instead an open square is shown in place. This is true in all math modes
(inline, display and numbered). The resultant PDF, however, does show the
letter \kappa correctly. This problem does not exist in the same version of

How do you switch to portrait (rather than landscape) in Beamer? Can
you do it for an individual slide? The documentation is a bit obscure on
that.

Ok. That did it. Guess I am too menu oriented.
Thanks.

Hi all,
I'm trying powerdot as a quick way to create some slides, but have a
problem of the slide being created in landscape mode but placed on
portrait paper (if that makes any sense).
I've tried putting nopsheader, orient=landscape, mode=present,
paper=screen into the class options to no avail.

I started to write with document class= article and language =
swedish. I then activated the module "Theorem" and added a theorem and
a proof.
In the lyx window it shows "Theorem" and "Proof" (should it not be in swedish?
But I can live with that lost translation, but the postscript preview
