I was using koma-script and had the latex preamble so that chapters would
not come out with the word chapter. Since I upgraded to lyx 1.2 i have the
word chapter appearing. How can I get rid of it (I tried the hint on
Herb's site given for koma classes, didn't work)?
Thanks
Remzi

I have a longtable that is too wide for the page. When I click on the rotate

I have a document with eps images in it and when I want to create the pdf by
using the pdflatex option, it seems like everything works fine, however in
the generated pdf I don't see the images. I can locate the jpg version fo
those images under the temp folder though. If I move those files to
is fine, otherwise it doesn't work.

Befroe lyx 1.2 the figure was automatically centered inside the float... Now
it doesn't. Did you guys put a switch somewhere or something? or I have to

\end{center}

Hi,
I need to have my chapter, section, subsection titles formatted together with
their numbers. I have the titles formatted with the help of Dekel and
Herbert, however the numbers are not really as I want. Such that
1.1 THIS IS A SECTION
the number 1.1 is bold and larger than the title
Hi,
The graduate school changed the style guideline (I better graduate before
they do this again!) Anyway it looks like I need to tune my preamble again.
In the preamble I have:
\usepackage{sectsty}
\chapterfont{\normalsize\mdseries\centering}
\sectionfont{\normalsize\mdseries\centering}

Thanks Herbert... Another question though... How can I indent my
subsubsections in the text by an amount of .5 in?
I need the text start after the subsubsection title (no break and the
text should not be italic although the title is). How can I achieve this?
\renewcommand\subsubsection{%
Hi
I am having problems with the seminar style. It simply doesn't run. Can
anyone send me a working example file so I can try and troubleshoot?
Thanks

I am using koma-script book class.
When I set the page margins, such as top and bottom 1 inch, I get margins
longer than that. The page style is chosen as plain. How can I get that
accomplished? The margins I get from the side of the paper to the text is
around 1.8 inches...
