Hey all. I have a 32k 102 and was wondering if there is any astronomy programs
around? I have TS-Dos on rom using DLPlus on a Linux box.

I agree, just one pre-amble for the whole set of commands. It could be
extended further in time, but to start, use one pre-amble to add these extra
features. One could really use this to a full network solution with the right
Wifi integration (there are many types of this around…)

program send a
unique command over the RS-232 and process the return data? It should be just
a matter of enhancing the base TPDD driver to include a new pre-amble for
extended commands.

Thanks for this Brian, I didn’t even think there was a Teensy version already.
I’ve reverted my base code to this version and seems to catch packets better.
Question though, is there a specific reason why it runs @ 2mhz on the Teensy?

Hi John, yes I receive 2 packets fine (with response) then things go strange
only on checksum. Your C# routine is different from DLPlus for the Calc, I’ll
try that in the morning and see if that changes.

Hey guys, not posted much but have to ask. I am doing a TPDD server on a
Teensy 3.6 using the internal SD and a touch LCD. Problem I am having is with
checksums. I receive the initial 2 sequences fine with checksums, but on the
moment of directory request I get a bad checksum coming from
It does make a .co file. Not sure if that helps, but if it is compatible with
the 600 I could send it to you as a .co

I have it on the 102. It's called xmodem.bas which creates a new telecom with
xmodem. It works great for transfers from other devices. Can't remember where
I got it from, but I'm sure it came from bitchin100 library.

Welcome John.
I am also fairly new to this group. But I found a huge wealth of knowledge
here. I now have my 102 with a number of option Roms thanks to Mike Stein. And
using Laddiealpha on my pc for disk access.

the 102 is in great shape for it’s age. This must have been a well
kept machine (other than yellowing on the top case).

I might have to agree with you Ken, This was just a thought I had while
writing the email. Drivewire on the client side does require a lot of
background processing, thinking about it.

with the Drivewire client in the same format as TS-DOS as to comply with the
Model T structure. Drivewire uses 256 drives of various sizes in a image
format, with utilities to move things around on the server side.

I am using a 102 with 32k ram, the only problem with it is the DEL/BKSP key
doesn’t work (CTRL-H works perfect). Everything else is perfect on this
machine.

I am using a home built null modem adapter that uses the standard 3 wire
exchange with RTS/CTS jumpered on each side. I was thinking they should be
exchanged between the 2 sides instead of hard wired.

Now I need to get the PC side up and running for comm, I still have Desklink
crash as soon as I hit F4 on the 102. I am trying it from a HP Win7 starter 10
inch Netbook though.

it fails to inject the boot loader to the 102. I end up getting 1 line of code
