My 2 cents:
I think posting info about this mailing list on
the Model 100 FB page will introduce the Model T to a broader audie
it is!

No reason, it's just the way that GNU Mailman is I think. Maybe I can make it
no-login, just never spent the time.

Ah, another addict! ;-) Nice to hear from ya!
We no longer have pennies up here in Canada, so

Although there is a gap for a period of time where Gmane wasn't working
right for us, a lot of old emails and all current emails are being logged
to Gmane where you can search.
ts at least some access to members only

Let me try to salvage something from this 'discussion'; I certainly didn't mean
to start up a love/hate FB flamewar, I only wanted to say to William James the
OP that it's a shame that he didn't (also?) put his no doubt interesting stuff
on a site that everyone could access, not just FB
attitude on new ways to learn about the world of
Vintage portable computers.

I like the list and the site. Yes I'm on Facebook
I have been kinda following this thread and need to throw my 2 cents.
I am also in agreement with Sean and a few others that, yes the Facebook group
is just another medium to discuss our loved toys. I am a avid member of a lot
of lists and Groups, both. I find from the Coco Facebook group(s)
To say nothing of the treasure trove at Club 100's site!

In fact, searching the archive that's maintained over at bitchin100.com is
an *amazing* way to find stuff.

I'm a member of several FB groups as well as a few mailing lists for other
vintage computers. My advice:
FB groups are awesome for sharing the moment, but when it comes to searching
for archived information, the mailing lists win hands-down. I recommend
covering the bases and post here and on
anyone ever try photobucket?
