Subject: Re: I need somebody who has experience with vm fusion 5 on a mac
Hi All,
I've uploaded a copy of the VM-Demo.mp3 file that Gordon created in April
2007 for the Main Menu program to the web site at:
https://files.mac-access.net?login=mac-access:mac-access
It's 27.9 MB

boot camp partition
Yes, screen-readers and magnifiers. What I am saying is that if you install a
Boot Camp partition, then want to use it with Fusion, no! Fusion doesn't
Import the partition. It just gets its operating system settings from it.
You delete the partition, you have no operating system left. Using
this onlist.

I wonder, did you manage to hear my April 2007 demo of Fusion on ACB Radio
Main Menu? It was done using an earlier version of Fusion but the
principles are the same.

Afraid not. You'd have to look it up on their website, if it still exists that
is. But be mindful that it was done with a very early beta of Fusion 1.0. I
was in on the act from the start.

A little wasteful doing it that way though. Also, be mindful of the fact that
you may have problems with assistive accessibility tools which rely on video
drivers if you use a BootCamp partition with such a tool and want to do the
same under Fusion. I'm not naming tools, quite deliberately
lol. don't make the mistake I did and I did get laughed at for days on twitter.
What ever guest OS you install don't think it will take 5 minutes just because
it is virtual. it took me 2 hours to install my guest OS but once it was up and

All I did was just install it then upgrade my test vm via its advanced settings
to work with vmware 5 and higher. that's pretty much it. I used the same
settings as I did with vmware 4 which was to disable all of the shortcuts.

Laurel,
I think it would be best to keep the discussion onlist. There are several
others who may benefit from the information. Honestly, It's not a bother to
have an extended discussion on this topic onlist. That's what the list is
for, to make a public record of the information we all need.
