Wouldn’t using sharp keys and switching the caps lock to the right options key fix that? It would also enable the use of the caps lock key as the jaws or NVDA key? it should then stop using the right option key and t for the date and time announcement? Also when in the virtual window it is best

Are you using Mavericks? I think the command has changed under Mavericks because of tabbed windows in Finder. I do not use Mavericks yet but I seem to recall you now have to add the option key to command shift T but somebody else should probably confirm this. David Griffith -Original
