hi,
Just a thought here, I really know nothing about it but…would it be possible to
divide, say, an MP3 file into small 32nd sections and then play it to the
dictate function on the phone in order to have it transcribed?I know from
experience that the dictate function is extremely powerful and
Hello Will,
This happens with zipped text files for me too! So, I use an app called
Filer. In this way, I can uncompress the files in Filer and then send them to
Voice Dream reader.
Hope this helps, Sandy

William,
Don't try CamFind. It is free! It is excellent! You can take as many shots as
you like! And it is very good at recognising products even when not absolutely
square into the picture.
Also, try red laser for barcode recognition.
Good luck, Sandy

Hello anne and will,
I too am a fan of the Guardian crosswords. I do them most days on my iPhone for

using the latest release on my for S the access ability of the Guardian
crossword has been broken. So, I'm glad that I

The app I would suggest is called camfind. For example, I just took a shot of

Brenda,
Have you thought about getting a good battery backup for your phone rather than
paying out huge money for another device? There are lots of options on the
market and they are not too pricey.

Hi Chris,
I am no expert re selecting text etc, and i should tell you that of all the
VO gestures, selecting text is the least well thought out. It seems to vary
depending upon where you are re apps etc, so you can never be quite sure. The
easiest way to deal with selecting text is to use

Hi Esther and all,
Just to add an observation re Text Grabber since the newer interface: TG is
now much more forgiving of slight skewing. So, for those who don't have a
StandScan Pro, or who like to use the OCR Apps free-hand, TG is now usable that
way too.
This is definitely an app
