in just under 10 hours. and that was on a new mac book air.

You actually missed the dialogue. during set up, how ever go to system prefs,
then privacy and security. There you will find file vault. turn it off and you
should be good to go.

FireVolt is great. Without it, it’s surprising how easy it is to get access to
someone’s data on their Mac even if they have a password. It’s particularly

Yes it is, and they are not paying attention to the dialogue. This happens
only I think on a clean install. I'll have to find out as I plan on doing a
clean install in about 2 weeks just to clean up any crud.
