When using Numbers and I get to the bottom/end of a table, I can hit
enter/return and it starts me on a new row, continuing the formating
of the table cells.
When exported to Excel, this does not happen.
Any idea how to get it to do this in Excel, when exported from Numbers?
Thanks,
Rick
would be appreciated. I was hoping to be a new laptop next year
but this may speed up the decision.

sounds to expensive to fix.
1. connect the ibook to the g4 with a firewire cable.
2. reboot the ibook holding down the T key
3. look for the ibook in the g4 finder window.
4. copy whatever to the g4. best...jf

Hi Jerry,
Your instructions worked like a charm! I was able to access the hard
drive and extract what I needed off of it. Normally I back it up frequently,
however my last back-up was last weekend. My problem was that I am editing
and revising a published book for a friend for his next
a nice ending to an unfortunate situation!
i would say the current macbook is most reliable, which would the
better choice, with the simple reasoning that any new purchase should
be of the intel chip variety to keep up with the technology.
however, i do wonder when macbooks will ship with
Something odd is going on with my InDesign CS3 (v5.0.1) application.
Symptoms are: opening files sometimes takes up to 10 minutes (yes 10
minutes of spinning beachball); saving files also can take several
minutes. I'm not hearing a lot of hard disk activity, so whatever is
happening seems
Now that I am in the market for a laptop, I remember someone mentioned on
the list that it would probably be best to wait until January to see if
there are new ones coming out. Does that sound about right?
According to the Apple site the 15 Macbook Pro is supposed to be available
with an LED
you would get approximately (1) full hour of real world battery use
from the macbook pro (3hrs) led vs the current mackbook (2hrs). is
that worth the additional $700-900? you could project a one hour
improvement for a led equipped macbbok.
the mackbook is not as hot on the bottom (bearable)
I tend to go a bit overboard when it comes to gadgets anyway. Actually, the
Macbook would do me fine for my portable needs. I usually pump up the RAM
though. I do most of my major work on my desktop, which for now is a G4. If
I put any major money into something it will be when I replace that.

reasonable plan. i anticipate minor refreshes in the portables and mac

For some of us, the messages are pure babel! You know, MWSF, NAND, USB/
iSata, PATA, OLPC, OMIGOSH! :-)
These acronyms seem to tower over everything!

Yes Ann, and I mentioned it several days ago but since no one else
said a thing I thought it was just my problem.
