I am going to pass on your dot matrix printer. What I would like to
know, is can I hook up any modern type printers to that old Mac SE?
If so, how?
Or maybe I can plug my old SE into the Performa, and use the laser
printer now attached.
And finally, I really don't need to hook

The latter. Without a doubt.
That said I love my R200 and use it a lot. I use an HP laser for all my basic

I have 3 printers, 2 Epson, 1 HP. I like them all, they all were
gifts with computers I bought, so I was not choosy. One old Epson the
company replaced for free. i had some issues with it. The small HP is
newer, runs faster, I also can use that European size paper, and

I have owned both Epson and HP injet printers, but only use them
infrequently. I like my Brother HL- 5040 (a laser) much better for
business and drawings where color is not required. Of the inkjet
printers, both the Epson and HP work ok, but I would give Epson the

Anne,
Please forgive me for sticking my nose in where it probably doesn't belong,
but I thought I'd give you my experience with Epson printers. I've had
several; currently own a Stylus Photo R220, which I bought mainly because it
will print labels on printable CDs. It takes forever for the
Im still using my 12 year old Epson stylus 740.
I refill my own cartridges since they are not chipped like current ink carts.
I don't use it as much now that I have a laser, but it has been a work horse..
I have a spare too.
I can't seem to upgrade.
Something I can refill or get new carts
Nolan,
Thanks or the information. The printer I had that died was an Epson Stylus
Photo R220. Aside from the fact that it was very slow by today's standards
(after all it was 5 or 6 years old) I had no problem with it.
I haven't ben able to find a currently manufactured Canon that uses the
