This is correct. Choose the Info tab and then choose the en1 Network interface from the popup button. That will update the Interface Information which will tell you the Link Speed. Mine says 54Mbps so I'm on an 802.11g hotspot but my card also supports 802.11N which has an upper limit of 600Mb
