Hi list,
I hope this question is not off topic. I am having a bit of an issue with the
mail application and IMAP settings. Maybe I am doing something wrong here but
if anyone could help with this, that would be greatly appreciated. I have set
up my gmail account in mail using IMAP.
Yes, you will need to go to Google email site to do this. You really don't
need to delete the trash in Google because it does it auto every 30 days
that each message is 30 days old. The way I understand it is your spam,
trash folder and your sent mail and all mail folder under your Google name
Its OK to be a fan boy I sure am one. They will make it happen if we push for
it. We are almost there and from Tiger to SL we have made great strides. Lets

You have to map the mailbox for deleted items to the trash folder so their is
only one folder for deleting messages. You do this by going to the G-Mail trash
folder and click on use this mailbox for sub menu under mailboxes on the mail

Carin,
It worked for me no problem here using sl and the latest safari. The button is
called sign, not submit. I was able to press VO Space on it and it submitted
the form properly and redirected me to the success page informing me that an
email would be sent for confirmation.

Hey all, Brandon and I are having a strange issue trying to check for software
updates.
Software update thinks we are not connected to the internet even though we are
connected fully with our browsers and email and messengers.
What could be the problem here?
Thanks,

Sorry, I don't have a leopard machine to test it on. It might make a
difference, because accessibility made tremendous strides in SL, but I
seriously doubt it. I never had problems with submit buttons not showing up
and I don't recall seeing mention of it. That by no means proves the problem
What advice could I give the folks running the site?

Well, we're on 10.6.3 now I believe and all the major bugs are worked out,
except for some possible minor issues with ITunes, which is mostly useless
anyway IMHO.
I think the time has come.

Pete, It was my reply which I felt might have generalized a bit too much.
Sorry if that wasn't clear. I agree that application developers are rightly
responsible for conforming to accessibility guidelines. My issues exist in
things like not being able to resize a window or drag a file, and
Hi,
creating structured headings in Pages using Voiceover isn't a problem. You do
it from the styles drawer. I explained how to do it in a prior message, and I
learned how to do it from the Pages on-line help.

I was wondering if there was an accessible program that can be used to read
PowerPoint presentations on the Mac? I am asking because one of the college
classes that I am taking, one of the instructors uses PowerPoint, and it would
be nice to be able to read these presentations on the Mac.

Good afternoon Jeffrey,
I'm not sure about reading Powerpoint on the Mac. You can however
save them as RTF in windows and read that on the Mac, or a better
solution, ask the professor to provide you RTF, or some other more
universal format, of the content.
HTH,

Hello. You can read Power Point presentations with Keynote. I did this during
my last semester in college when I really started getting into using the mac.

I've forgotten the command to set the speech rate in a text file that will be

Thanks in advance.
