used to be Stanza, but I heard that Stanza was broken. I'd just like to be able

Adobe Digital Editions works on the Mac but it still doesn't automatically
scroll pages which does slow things down some. If one really hates that, it is
possible to copy and paste each page into an editor like Text Edit and then

Yes, this is correct; I apologize if you were asking about iBooks. IBooks with
an i and ebooks with an e don't sound the same on my computer but the one
with an i does sound like ebooks with an e should sound. Guess i'll have to fix
that in pronunciation.

Another alternative to both stanza and Adobe is iText Express, free on the Mac
App Store.
I know that this app can read ePub formatted ebooks, but not books that you
have purchased in iBooks it's self. I'm not sure what other formats it can read.
Give it a try, its free.

I once read an article that put forth a theory for this. Consider that a great
deal of Apple's iBooks are textbooks, and that people who read books (text or
not) often do it while out and about, or on the couch, or at the table, or
other places that aren't in front of their computers. Now
That's because the iBooks are DRM protected. What they need to do is have a
Mac version of iBooks. You can't open the epub files with Stanza or anything
else because of the DRM.
