I cannot find an ad friend link anywhere on this person's webpage. I open M.Facebook.com/with the persons name and get to her page, but there is no ad friend button. In the main section there is her cover photo, followed by an message link, then the word more which is not a link or clickable

HI. go to the preferences menu and then advanced. there is an option there to show develop menu. check that option. A develop menu should now show up after bookmarks. Choose user agent and then choose the browser you want. Your links on the mobile site should show up correctly now.

Stacey, I believe that Firefox is not accessible on the Mac. So, that is the reason due to which you're getting that message. I don't know whether the mobile site works in any other accessible browsers on the Mac or not. If anyone is using the mobile site on the Mac, please do let me know.
