With 4 email accounts, I would like to open each account and view
its own inbox, sent and so on, not as a unified setup as it is now under
Favorites, Is this possible?

Hi,
You can move the specific InBoxes you wish quick access to into the Favourites
bar. The beauty of this is that the order of things within the Favourites bar
corresponds to keyboard shortcuts. That is, the first mailbox in the
Favourites bar can be accessed with the keyboard shortcut
I haven't tried it, but can you add individual inboxes to Favorites? Go to the
Mailboxes table, down arrow to Inbox, and hit right arrow. Down arrow to the
account you're interested in, and try to add it to the Favorites Bar.

As far as I know, the only way to do this is for you to go to the mailboxes
table, and select the particular mailbox that way.
God bless. :)

Tim and Alex,
Thanks for the input. Is it possible to just forget Favorites and
work with each account by itself? The Thunderbird setup works great for
me. TB does have an option to unify all accounts which I never enabled.

Hi,
I don’t believe that what you’re asking for is possible in Apple Mail. The
default folders are listed first in the MailBox list, each expandable to see
there contents then they’re followed by the user created folders of each
account. So, for example, you could see the following in the

Hi all,
I just tried to send an attachment to myself at a different email address. It
was clear on my Mac that the file was attached, but when I opened the message
from my other account on my Pc, there was no attachment. Anyone know what's up?
Thanks,

Well I’m definitely having problems with this very thing. I know there’s an
attachment. I can see it on the iPhone and in Windows, and in the headers of
the message when I’m on the mac. but nothing will open it. Save attachment is

Yes, I did that first because actualy that's always been the most
reliable way for me. Shows it as being greyed out actually. The
attachment is normal on all other devices, not weird imbedded object
or anything. But the mac only sees it in the headers.

You should always be able to save with save attachments in the file menu even
if you can't open it. Be sure to go down below save to save attachments. As
for opening rather than saving, if you interact with the text and move very
slowly, you can often, but not always, get on the attachment.
Well what you should be able to do and what you can do don’t seem to work. And,
I found out that this is a known bug that plagues some folks back in to Lion.

That never works for me because don’t you have to focus on the attachment

You can do quick look (command y) when just focusing on the message in your
