Hi ET, I'd use the 750 gig to restore the ssd when you put it in to the machine, As for secure wipe yeah nothing wrong with that and I'd be more inclined to say overnight if you did a 3 stage wipe, probably best part of the day to do the 7. Three should be all you need. -Original

Hi Ramy, You will need to boot the machine up and then run the Disk utility to view the drive, If the ssd isn't formatted or is formatted in say ntfs etc then the mac wont see what you want it to have. So you will probably need to format it first and then try setting things up. HTH
