Something very strange just happened. While browsing in Safari, Voiceover
suddenly reset. I mean, the speech reset, I had to set the rate etc. as I like
it. I even had to reenable the numpad and trackpad commanders. I use the latest
Safari 5.0.3 and it happened while

Unfortunately, this is a well-known problem but it is totally unpredictable.
For that reason, most of us save our VoiceOver Preferences somewhere so that we
can reinstate them quickly when the problem strikes.

I have had vo reset a few times, wherein I've had to go in and re-enable
keyboard commander, and reset my web browser preferences. My Apple trainer was
going to write to accessibility about it. But, we haven't heard anything.
Just happened again today while on the Vuescan website.
