One thing that carbin copy cloner does is clone your hard drive and make it bootable which means if for some reason your main drive crashes, you can just replace the bad drive, then clone the latest backup to the new drive and you should be good to go. Time machine does not have this feature

This can be an issue when the date is significantly off, the network time protocols don't want to have you experience a time warp. I suggest setting the time manually, rebooting and then turn back on the automatic time setting functions. Until you get your clock set right, you might have issues

Try doing this without interacting. When I go to Menu Extras, and press VO + Spacebar, on the Time Machine item, I am able to navigate using either VO + DownArrow, or just DownArrow by itself, and I am able to navigate the pull down menu as I have always done. HTH. - Brad - On Jul 27, 2021
