silence e.g. at -45 db and if it is longer than 0.5 miliseconds and then it

options key on both the left and right of the space bar, just as there is on my

The original IPad does not have a usb port. You can get that camera kit as an
extra, but my understanding was that you can't use external media evenfor file
transfer or extra storage, with the usb port provided by that accessory. If
that's wrong, I'm sure somebody will correct me.

want to get into it, you could buy either Protools, or Logic, although
I'm not sure about the current accessibility of either of those.

The IPad is wonderful but honestly, the Air is probably a better fit if you
have the IPhone already.
Typing is easier for most with a real keyboard and you get the whole OSx
environment. The Air should also be more powerful.
Either device will be good but I'd vote air.

Thank you to Sarah, and Mike, for all your help. I am happy to say all my files
are back! I just had to reboot and try migration assistant again. Once I did
this, it took an hour and all my files are back.
It is true that the camera kit for the iPad cannot be used for transfer
of data other than photos. As for compactness, the ZaggMate from
zagg.com is an aluminum case which combines a BT keyboard while adding
only .25 inch to the thickness of the iPad itself, and there are other
