i noticed that all my address book contacts went away after a clean lion
install. i activated iCloud on my mac hopping that i would be able to recover
my contacts on the mack this way but no luck.
am i missing out on something or is there another way to recover my contacts?

did you reactivate iCloud on yur Mac, and check syncing contacts? I would also
open address book preferences and make sure your using the iCloud address book
and not the addressbook on the Mac.

identical to the ones Itunes uses, into the Itunes Music end directory; Itunes
has to update its library.xml file every time else it doesn't know they're
there; it's not like Winamp that reads the folder structure

If you have your songs in I cloud you don't have to sync the same with your
phone as they should be there when you sign into I Cloud using your phone if
your Mac is in the Cloud too as your Mac library will already be there. I just
get my phone to sync Apps and podcasts and books.

the other direction. It also appears that I have to drag the file in to get it

I can only say that my I phone 4S and Mac Book Pro are not insured and I have
no concerns of using my gadgets in public. I know that we may be more at risk
of having our things stolen but I'd like to think I want to be like my sighted
