Really! I have had two accounts on my MacOS X systems one regular and one admin since before there was VoiceOver available. Certainly when I did my upgrades my standard account stayed standard and my admin account stayed admin. In Sierra and Earlier it was impossible to finish an install unless

Is the current admin account not working on your system? If you lost the password for the admin account on your computer you might be able to use password recovery tools in the recovery partition, but I have never been very successful with this. Or do you need “super root” privileges to get
