How to select items to be moved

Greetings All, After an absence of a few years from the Mac environment, I now am stepping back in; or at least trying. My new MacBook Air arrived and I am trying to figure out how to select items in one folder to be moved to another. Something has changed since my High Sierra days.

Actually, holding down the Fn key in combination with the VO modifier, and then pressing a NumberRow key, will perform VoiceOver functions that correspond with the respective F-key for that vO function. Holding down the Fn key alone, and then pressing a NumberRow key does not do anything.

You may use VO+arrows to navigate screen in this part (mostly to the left). If you didn’t find Apple ID password, then your computer’s one. BY THE WAY, I think your computer password is the required one after installing a new version of Mac OS always, according to my experience. Regards,
