I’m assuming that when you make the purchase, you select to have them transfer
your phone number (i.e. Sim card etc.) to the new phone and when you receive it
you then have to activate it with the carrier?
Maybe I got some bad info about it being locked to the carrier that way. Even
iPhones purchased directly from Apple via the website or the Apple store app,
are always unlocked, and not tied to a certain carrier even though you may
specify a carrier when ordering your new iPhone.
