I do as follows:
1. Listen to the point where to start selection and press CMD + y and then m.
2. Listen further to the point where to end selection and press CMD + y.
3. I then press CMD + Arrow left to select to the previous marker.
If I then press Space I only hear the selected
Check your general preferences to make sure that the space bar only plays the
selected material. Sounds like this is unchecked. you want to be sure to
check this. Also, Command+y does in fact move the insertion point to the play
head. That is, Unless Marv changed something I am not aware
OK, I figured it out, but it’s still kind of weird. Here’s what I have been
doing.
First I start playback with tab from the beginning of the file to the point
where I want to start the selection and then stop with spacebar and press the P
to drop a marker there.
Then, I hit spacebar to
Make sure you’re hitting command Y to go to the play head, once you set your
markers. Then it will play your selection.

Yes, I have this problem also.
Hiting the spacebar about 4 to five times usually fixes it.

Hi Phil,
e actually is preview cut not listen to selection. And you are really sure
pressing Space? Shift Space plays the selected track and Tab jumps to the start
and plays from there.
