I think this means that all songs downloaded from the iTunes Store will have
the M4A format, whatever your import settings may be.
My converted purchased albums play fine from the USB key I put them on.

You don’t need to go through all that burning a CD stuff.
In iTunes, open the preferences and click the Import settings button
and select MP3 from the menu. Click the OK button and another OK

you can now select all the tracks on the album and go to the File
menu. Go down to Convert and you’ll find MP3 as an option.

After the conversion, you’ll have two of each track.
Go to the Finder and open your iTunes library.
Find the album and sort the folder according to Type. All your MP3
versions will be together. Select them all and copy them. Create a new
folder somewhere else such as in Documents and paste them there.
You’ll need to delete the unwanted versions from within iTunes or
iTunes will get very upset!

I did this very recently with purchased music.

After the conversion, you’ll have two of each track.
Go to the Finder and open your iTunes library.
Find the album and sort the folder according to Type. All your MP3 versions

You’ll need to delete the unwanted versions from within iTunes or iTunes will

I did this very recently with purchased music.

Hmmm. I don't believe so, but you could give it a try. I believe that the

Re: Exporting Albums from iTunes

2019-05-07 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries
Oh I forgot about DRM. Ok I will work my way through the Audio CD
method. If I had new Bluetooth headphones, I would forgo this and use
the iPhone or iPad instead. Thanks Tim.

Hi,

iTunes will not let you convert purchased music to mp3.  Well, not

new imported tracks end up having the DRM stripped thus allowing for the
conversion to mp3.  Pain in the behind I'm sure, but that's the DRM world.
