Fwit, let me explain why I went with the M2 Max. As the Tom's Guide review points out: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/macbook-pro-14-16-m2-pro-max-2023 Both the Pro and the Max also have faster access to memory. Apple claims "the updated architecture allows for 200 GB/s of bandwidth on M2

I am sure someone would buy that. the m2 max with 2 tb storage and 32 or 64 gb ram should be plenty. Especially with music creation. Get a nice ssd for samples and libraries if you need down the road. I had the m2 max returned it because I wanted to double the storage and the ram. Plus I screwed

For the first time in my life, I have not followed this approach. I just obtained my new Macbook M2 14-inch this past week. I went with the base model and upgraded only the SSD to 2Tb, one level above the default. It still adds up to more than I've paid for a new machine ever before. But, I just

I refuse to get a system with less than 16 gb of ram. storage nothing less than at least a tb. You can always get externals. On 2/7/23, Phil Halton wrote: > It all really depends on what you use the machine for. If you’re doing heavy > audio and video processing then yeah, load up on the ram

It all really depends on what you use the machine for. If you’re doing heavy audio and video processing then yeah, load up on the ram and the SSD. Me, I could get by on the bare-bones configuration because I only do email, Spreadsheet, and a little Text and sometimes and sometimes audio

No, Doug. Buy more RAM and storage than you can afford. Sell your car, your boat, or your kids to raise the extra. I mean, nothing in life is as important as having enough RAM and storage, right? Oh, shoot. I forgot about CPU speed. Double whatever you think initially and sell your house to

No matter what you think, and no matter what others think, you will always want more RAM and storage later on. So best advice is to start with as much RAM and storage as your budget allows, and then squeeze more juice out of the carrot and move up to the next higher amount of RAM and storage.
