Hello its command shift F5 and you VO to start recording and you get options to 
record some of or all the screen.

Starting Screen Recording

Hi,

is there a shortcut to start a screen recording imediately in Mac OS Monterey?

I usually use CMD + Shift + 5 to open the window to start it but I need a way 
to start it without the support of VO.

You use zoom to make a video recording. It saves it as an .M4V format file. You 
can then send that file to anyone.  How the video file is made is irrelevant. 
The person receiving the  Video  just get the file.

How do I do a screen recording on my mac?

problem with the Greek voice spelling words rather than reading them. How would 
I do a screen recording for them including audio whilst at the same time 
changing from application to application in order to illustrate how the Greek

If someone was sharing the screen then you may. Have been in the share window

specify what you are recording eg a video on the net (there are download 
apps and browser extensions), video sharing others gave ideas already, or 
computer video capture eg for a presentation/tutorial?

Screen Recording with Voiceover

Hi all,

I used to be able to use screen recording on my iPad to make demonstration 
videos of my mobile app.   This was great as I could use Voiceover and navigate 
the app, but Voiceover did not get captured on the video.  Something has 
changed (I’m using iOS 13 on this iPad) and now Voiceover is being captured 
within the recording.

Does anybody know a way around this—other than getting my kids to work the app 
while I narrate it.

A screen recording is just that.  It records the screen, nothing else.  There 
are workarounds by using screen sharing services or apps like Reflector whereby 
you can have one computer take over the screen of another and use Movie 
Recording in QuickTime to record both video and audio.

Apple tells app developers to disclose or remove screen recording code

Apple is telling app developers to remove or properly disclose their use of
analytics code that allows them to record how a user interacts with their
iPhone apps - or face removal from the app store, TechCrunch can confirm.
In an email, an Apple spokesperson said: "Protecting user privacy is
paramount in the Apple ecosystem. Our App Store Review Guidelines require
that apps request explicit user consent and provide a clear visual
indication when recording, logging, or otherwise making a record of user
activity."
"We have notified the developers that are in violation of these strict
privacy terms and guidelines, and will take immediate action if necessary,"
the spokesperson added.
It follows an investigation by TechCrunch that revealed major companies,
like Expedia, Hollister and Hotels.com, were using a third-party analytics
tool to record every tap and swipe inside the app. We found that none of the
apps we tested asked the user for permission, and none of the companies said
in their privacy policies that they were recording a user's app activity.
Even though sensitive data is supposed to be masked, some data - like
passport numbers and credit card numbers - was leaking.
Glassbox is a cross-platform analytics tool that specializes in session
replay technology. It allows companies to integrate its screen recording
technology into their apps to replay how a user interacts with the apps.
Glassbox says it provides the technology, among many reasons, to help reduce
app error rates. But the company "doesn't enforce its customers" to mention
that they use Glassbox's screen recording tools in their privacy policies.
But Apple expressly forbids apps that covertly collect data without a user's
permission.
TechCrunch began hearing on Thursday that app developers had already been
notified that their apps had fallen afoul of Apple's rules. One app
developer was told by Apple to remove code that recorded app activities,
citing the company's app store guidelines.
"Your app uses analytics software to collect and send user or device data to
a third party without the user's consent. Apps must request explicit user
consent and provide a clear visual indication when recording, logging, or
otherwise making a record of user activity," Apple said in the email.
Apple gave the developer less than a day to remove the code and resubmit
their app or the app would be removed from the app store, the email said.
When asked if Glassbox was aware of the app store removals, a spokesperson
for Glassbox said that "the communication with Apple is through our
customers."
Glassbox is also available to Android app developers. Google did not
immediately comment if it would also ban the screen recording code. Google
Play also expressly prohibits apps from secretly collecting device usage.

Hi,

VO audio is routed differently, so recording VO audio activity is not as easy 
as recording video.  I don't believe that you're able to do this without extra 
tools that tend not to be free.  Pro Tools is an option, but probably overkill 
and very expensive.  You might be able to use Audio Hi-Jack to capture the 
audio as well, but then you'd need to somehow sync the audio with your video 
capture.  I guess one might be able to use an Apple TV to mirror audio and 
video giving you another device that you could try to record from.  I haven't 
had time lately to dive very deep into this issue, so I apologize for not being 
particularly specific.

I'm not sure I understand what is being asked?

If it's can you record vo on an ios device or mac then yes I know you can have 
a mac computer record vo when it's talking 

I've done thisa couple of times where I get my mac book to record what vo is 
saying 
But I'm going to guess this isn’t what your after.

Hi ET,
Yes Zoom can do it.
The Avid Pro tools beta teem I'm on uses zoom to capture everything including 
VoiceOver.
I use it on my mac mini  while testing Pro Tools, I'd half to refer to my notes 
as to the steps though.
Also Zoom us has a free version that allows you to use all the features for "40 
minutes".

Hi,

This is totally doable on iOS if you also have a Mac.  You can connect the iOS 
device to your Mac with the USB charging cable.  Go to QuickTime on your Mac 
and choose "New Movie Recording" from the file menu.  In the resulting window, 
VO-space on the "Show Capture Devices" pop-up and select the iPad or iPhone for 
both video and audio capturing.  By default, the volume seems to always be 
muted, so VO-left to the Full Volume button and press it.  Finally, VO-right to 
the Start Recording button and press it.  Because you are doing a movie 
recording, you get both the video and audio from the iOS device recorded by 
QuickTime.  Press the Stop button to end the recording and edit/trim/save your 
product.

This appears to be more challenging on the Mac.  I can use an app called 
Reflector to capture the video content, but the VoiceOver Audio is more 
challenging.  I've got some ideas, but need to round up a cable or two to test 
before I make any commitments as to its usability.  The audio and video is 
mirrored when using Reflector and an iOS device, but I haven't bothered messing 
with recording this way yet.

Including System Audio In Screen Recording

Hi,

 

Is there any option to include system audio when doing a screen recording from 
the Mac? I find an option to choose the microphone but so far no option to 
include system audio.

 

So far the way I have done this is to connect the computer to a USB sound card 
that can send system audio back to the computer as microphone input and that 
works fine unless I’m not near that device.  It isn’t portable.

 

I’m doing the screen recording with the command+shift+5 option.
