Hi,
I run Version 16.60 (22041000). I have a 365 Subscription through our
education license, although business, or education should not matter as they
are the same download, just different license.

I have an Office 365 subscription but installed Word on its own and am having
this issue. I haven't checked for updates recently and am not at the computer
right now to check the version I have installed. I was definitely having this
issue the last time I checked a couple days ago.

I use the Microsoft365 client version, and I experience issues navigating a
Word doc/docx document.

It's installed on the Mac, in my case.
Some Office 365 subscriptions give you access to the latest Microsoft
Office suite (with all updates as

I haven’t experienced this problem at all with Microsoft Word from Office 365.
The accessibility of Microsoft Word used to be considerably worse, but it
improved at some point a year or two ago.

I'm also experiencing the same navigation issues with 12.3.1 on Word.
About the best I've been able to do is enable quick NAV, then set the
rotor to paragraphs, but this is not reliable as the way it used to
work. Definitely a bug.

I am experiencing the issue as well and I am running Microsoft 365, but I am
running macOS Monterey 12.3.1, the public release.

is it possible there is a difference between the way word performs as a stand

stand alone copy, maybe Tims works because its 365?

Hi,
I sometimes experienced a similar issue in other word processing application -
can’t remember which now. I think it may have something to do with the way the
text wraps in the window. Look in Ms Word settings to see if there’s an option
that says something like “wrap to window” that
I wish I could be more helpful in this matter, but when I first installed the
Microsoft Office Suite on my Mac Mini I was experiencing the issue as described
in this thread. Several months ago I was trying to work with a document I had
copied from my old Windows PC and tapped some sort of
It is very interesting to me Tim that you are not experiencing this issue. I’m
sorry you are Brad but at least it makes the likelyhood of me going crazy
slightly less.
The only thing I can think of to try is to uninstall Word and reinstall it. I
haven’t had a chance to do that yet but may give
Hi,
The original DOCX document that I opened was likely created on a PC, so I
created a new document on my Mac using Word, then pasted content into it. All
worked as it should. I also saved a TextEdit document as a Word document with
positive results. The only difference was that Word
I am also experiencing this only mine isn’t saying one visible line. Otherwise,
it will not differentiate between lines. I am using a 2019 Intel Macbook pro
with the latest Monterey. The documents in question were created using Word and
they display just fine in Text Edit.

Interesting that you are not experiencing the same issue.
I am running Microsoft365, Version 16.59 (22031300), on an Intel Mac mini,
running macOS Monterey 12.3.1.

Hi,
very funny. In a german mailinglist we discuss the same issues. I compaired the
same Word document in the same Word version. On my Mac no issues regarding
navigatibility. On his Mac same issue as here discribed.
So far we weren't able to find a solution but just to let you all know this
Hi,
I tried to duplicate this unsuccessfully. I open the Word document, a DOCX
document, Word opens and announces that there are 48 visible lines and I am
able to navigate through them. I am using a M1 MBP 13 with Office 365 Version
16.59 (22031300). At the moment, I have no suggestions to
OK, I opened a .docx document I created earlier today in TextEdit, using
Microsoft Word on my Mac, and I am experiencing the same issue that Gabe
described earlier.
When I open the document, I hear VoiceOver say “one visible line”, and I am
also unable to navigate line by line, using either
