It should start it can take 5 minutes on first turn up to start. I believe you can press the center button in the round area 3 times also to start vo but I’m not 100% sure on that so please take with appropriate grains of salt. I gave my 3rd gen to my son if you get stuck I’ll walk over there and test it out for you. > On Sep 23, 2016, at 3:10 PM, Vaughn Brown wrote: > > Thank you Everyone. So I might be thinking of the orientation differently. With the touch pad facing away from you assuming it’s lying flat on a surface, the buttons oriented with the volume control on the right and the group of 3 on the left, the lightning port would be on the bottom edge facing your chest opposite the tough pad. At least that’s where mine is on the trailing edge below the buttons. Does that make more sense? > On Sep 23, 2016, at 2:12 AM, christopher hallsworth > wrote: > > Hi, thought the lightning port to charge the remote is on the front? >> On 23 Sep 2016, at 01:57, Scott Granados wrote: >> >> Just to expand on this a little for Vaughn, the 3rd gen as everyone as said >> is not rechargeable. Re: Apple TV 3rd Gen.
Hello First, the 3rd generation, as far as Apple Support is concerned, is long gone. So your chances of support may be slim. Not impossible, but slim. Now onto your questions. This remote, does not charge, unlike the 4th generation. Therefore, you change the batteries when it is low. To set it up with VoiceOver, make sure your TV is tuned into the correct HDMI input channel. You should then hear it talking you in how to turn on VoiceOver to set up Apple TV with VoiceOver. > On 22 Sep 2016, at 05:38, Vaughn Brown wrote: > > Hi folks, > > I just purchased and received an Apple TV 3rd generation.
