Hi, In Catalina, the root filesystem is actually read-only, and MacOS
performs some interesting tricks to make that work while allowing third
party SW to be installed, making it generally completely invisible to
users. So perhaps you somehow copied MailMate into this read-only
partition?

r5680 fixes this.
Thanks for the quick resolution!

Hi, so with r5679, when replying to a rich text message (i.e. where the
message preview is enabled by default), every time I tried to disable
that message preview, MailMate hangs, with the spinning beachball of
death, until I force quit it.

Yep, same thing here. I'm thinking of downgrading, as this is the
second fairly annoying issue with 5681.

Strangely, reverting to r5680 did NOT resolve this issue. Perhaps it's
a prefs file change that persisted through the downgrade?
Given that, I would not suggest folks try downgrading, as there might be
prefs file incompatibilities.

Hmm, I don't see this problem; none of my options to set mailbox type or
take mailboxes on or offline are greyed out.
Didn't you say in a prior thread you changed the file ownership
permissions on your MailMate application? Have you changed them back?
If not, perhaps try that...

Do you really need a second instance of MailMate? I think you can do
what you want by just opening a second viewer window. Go to File->New
Viewer Window.
