I see, occasionally, a message in the Archive mailbox. I don’t think I
placed it there and want it in its rightful mailbox.
Right-clicking on the message I see the option “Move to mailbox…”
but the list doesn’t include the mailboxes I created.
How to manually get a message to its correct
If MM continues to be “IMAP-only”, I’ve been thinking of way to
download my messages from the mail server and store them on my computer
so as to archive them, if I want to save them all. (After all, the mail
server has limits to how much storage I’m allowed…)

one of my favorites: customizable counters.
Each mailbox
I selected a mailbox I created and then chose Command>Export>Copy to
mbox.
The resulting folder in Finder shows an exported mbox file but for just
one account.
The mailbox I want to export has messages from all my accounts. Why are
messages from just one account exported? How to include
contributed to this thread and helped me learn a
little more about MM. I feel I’ve only scratched the surface of it’s

Is there a means to eliminate text wrap? I copied and pasted a block of
text from a received message into a new one and the wrapping remains.
I’d like to institute my own formatting. Other than manually deleting
each Return character, is there a quick way to do this in MM?

The “Tagged” Smart Mailbox that came with the MM install is not
showing the messages I tag.
The Conditions say simply that messages matching “Tags” “exist”
should show in the mailbox.

Getting this server error in MailMate on a Yahoo account:
MailMate encountered the following error: “Detected mismatch in UIDs

I’m creating some signatures. Apparently you assign a signature to one
of your mail accounts.
Is there a way to assign them to some other criteria, such as a
“To:” address?
I have several signatures but I don’t want to sent any signature to
all messages I send from one account.

Several times a week my 2 gmail accounts put up a window asking for the

On average of weekly, Mailmate will put up an error dialogue saying that an
account (usually Yahoo accounts, but not always limited to that domain)
password is incorrect and ask me to input the correct one. This always fails
(even after multiple attempts), so I click the Cancel button and live
Very simple fix: the password for the SMTP server was wrong.
I had updated the password when Yahoo complained while fetching IMAP
mail, but I didn’t remember that I had to change the SMTP pw as well.
All works again.

Occasionally I want to search for an attachment—that I can’t
