Hi,
Has anybody got any data on the Oil and Gas activities in the North Sea - preferably
in Mapinfo format (or Arcview)
We've two projects looking at suspended sediment in the North Sea and I want to
overlay all the installations etc.
Suggestions for other data sources welcome.
Many Thanks
A Monday question!
Does anybody know if it is possible to select more than one layer
at a time in order to globally override the style of a particular
area...? or do I have to go through each layer individually and rather
tediously?
I have OS Landline data (numerous individual layers)
I want to be able to use custom buttons in my MapBasic applications,
and preferably share them with my VB apps.
I can create resource files in VB (.RES), but the MI user guide says
that MapBasic can only use DLLs

I was speaking with the U.S.Postal Service (USPS) Historian, an apparently
likely resource for "ancient" information such as 1980 zipcodes. She has had a
tough time selling the idea of keeping old records, such as 1980 zipcodes, to
her management. I said that the USPS could possibly sell this
Dear list
I apologise if this is a really simple question but it has me stumped! I
should add that i am a relative newcomer to MapInfo.
My question is:

David,
I think you may be stuck with the long tedious method unless you can write
some MapBasic, but here are some other ideas:
1. Translate the OS data again using the universal translator utility that
comes with MapInfo. This brings each Landline layer in as a separate table

Hello List,
Has anyone any experience of printing from MapInfo ver 5.0 to a Novajet 630e
42" wide plotter.
Bury has just purchased one and is having problems printing to it. It is
very slow and they have not managed to print anything yet. Even the test
page is slow. It is set for HPGL.

I am a MapInfo-l subsrciber but this time am hoping someone can point me in the right
direction regarding Microstation. I emailed this to the gistrans-l last week and am
not sure if it was received properly since I am not a subsriber there.
I am not a regular Microstation user and am having
Hi Listers! I am hopelessly unfamiliar with mapbasic and have been trying
to use the Query/select function to pick out specific objects within an ACD

Hi All,
Waitakere City Council, (Auckland, New Zealand) has two GIS operator

These positions have arisen because one operator is about to retire and a

Hi listers
Does anyone have an updated mapinfo.prj file (compatible with v4.5)
which includes provision for the new Australian geocentric datum GDA94?
Or, for practical [i.e. MI] purposes, can it be assumed that GDA94 is so
close to WGS84 that if it were any closer it would be exact?
How about:

Does anyone have a collection of famous or worthy

Hi Users
Is there any reason why MI (unlike ArcView) does not complete the open workspace
command if there is one single map missing?
I am running a program that creates multiples workspaces based on a workspace template
and a lot of interactions are needed. However not all the maps have all

Hello,
Just a note about:

the Spatial News list of viewers. I looked at the Proviewer and it has to

Have you installed ProViewer on "clean" machine?

Adrian,
Other than asking for a ".prj" file, I would think that the
