To place native TAB files you must dig out the map manager program - found
normally here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Datamap\Datainst.exe. That contains the tables and layer control
properties - all wrapped up in geoset saves which are rather like workspaces

Dear List,
I have just done the impossible - compiled a MapBasic program into an
executable even though it doesn't contain a sub Main(), or even any mention
of the word "main" anywhere in the program.
This is actually not as clever as it seems, because the program should be a
module that forms
Greetings, List.
A few months ago I asked the list if anyone had any information on
the subject. Here is the summary of the results: Nothing.
So we developed it here at Digi-Tek.
Nothing fancy, and not yet packaged for distribution (depends on
the interest displayed by potential users) - but
Robert,
I think its VRML and not VML.

Thanks Gary for the answer to this.
If you have any code outside of any declared subroutine (other than global
statements and declares) the compiler
treats that code as the Main subroutine.

Hello co-listers :
Urgently I need information on the
technical differences and of prices of the tools that visualize maps
in internet for example : MapXtreme, Mapxsite, MapObjects Internet
Server, etc. of the companies MapInfo, ESRI, Intergraph, etc.
Since will acquire one of them.
Is there such a thing? Proximity from DecisionMark would do
this and bundle it all into a small little file.

I cannot use MapInfo 5.5 to open Access 2000 tables in a database

Is ther a compatibility conflict with Access 2000?

Hello list,
With mapx 4.0x, it's possible to display info tips when using MapX Tools or
custom tools. Those tips display the content of the first column of an item

Serge,
Yes you can. The tool tip shows the same data as the labels. Just set the
dataset column and data field for the labels, and the tooltip should change
to relect the new values as well. (Also, I *think* you can set the labels
to an expression, similar to MapBasic, in MapX 4.0, although

it requires the user to select a file - therefore they cannot select an

having a centralized archive helps avoid the problems with thousands of MI

I have run into a problem on a users system which is very annoying. I have
