What you are looking for is a Military State Secret. Export of such large- scale maps and topographic information is treason in the Republic of Taiwan. I would think it unlikely that you will be able to access such data, even while "in-country." Smaller-scale topographic maps for tourist

Malcolm, There is a new feature in MI Pro 6.0 called Objects Enclose which may help. It will take a set of polylines, and produce a set of regions. Each polyline need not form a closed object. The feature will take some set of polylines (e.g., 3 or 4 polylines) and produce a region object

Mike, In order to do this you need two things. First, Acrobat REader v4.0. 3.x will not work. Second you need the Acrobat SDK which you can get on Adobe's web site. It has some good data on controlling Acrobat using OLE. I have not done this Access, but I have in Visual Basic and it should work
