Hi
I'am new to MapXtreme. I tried to execute the simplemap application that comes along

I do the same thing actually. Put images into powerpoint for distribution.
I am using the Worldreg utility which is for registering images, but it also
has a save window as tab function. You can choose the output format (jpg,
bmp, tif, etc.) and you can specify a number from 1-25 which will

the house numbers table. The text objects are about 50 to 100 feet from the
street centerline. The ending
Does anyone know anyhting about a product called 'Highway Mapper'.
Aparently it handles dynamic segmentation for highway data. If not does
anyone know of any other add on to MI which deals with this functionality
(other than ARCINFO of course!).

List participants,
Once in a while, in recent months, various list members have asked about the

Hi list, my current problem : ) lies in the realm of DEMs. As my luck would have it the project I am working on is centered right at the intersection of 4 quads. I am using 1:24000, 7.5' USGS DEMs (SDTS format). The problem appears when I proceed to merge the DEMs. Some of them leave unsightly

I can't help with the banding, I think that's just losuy DEMs, but I was
able to clean up the seams. I forget the exact steps but I think this
should get you started.
Splice all the DEMs you need to use into a single VM grid, and then resize
the grid to a much larger cell size. (Maybe 3 or 4

Hi Ross,
I also use the window save-as option and have very good success with wmf
format.
If saving more than one sheet shot I ensure the map window doesn't change
size and that I use the same width/height values. This enables the position
of the map within PowerPoint to be amended with a
G'day Chris,
Set the distiller as default printer, and have no prompting for document
location. Then use a text editor to create a workspace like:
!Workspace
!Version 400
!Charset WindowsLatin1
RunAplication "FirstMap.WOR"
PrintWin Window FrontWindow()
Close All
RunAplication "SecondMap.WOR"
Thank you for your immediate response. But, I have already included mxtj20.jar in the
classpath and still the error persists.
