Hello all,
Is anyone using the iOS Guided Access feature to lock a device to a particular
app, for rental audio guides or otherwise? We're finding the setting doesn't
always stick on our iPod touches which are using iOS7, which revert to normal
mode. Would be interested in others' experiences

We have used guided access at the IMA and have similar results. Sometimes
it stays in the app just fine, but if the app crashes or the iPod runs out
of battery it can get out of Guided Access. Another alternative is to use
Apple Configurator

We are using this feature on ipad minis. The deployment is initially set
through a profile in the Meraki management tool. This sets the Guided Access
but like Kyle stated, if the device locks up or needs to be hard/soft booted,
it can lose the lock. Triple click is working for us.

We tried Guided Access with similar results and moved to Apple
Configurator (you need a Mac to run this software).
We had over 400 devices using Apple Configurator and sometimes they get
stuck displaying a guided access not available contact administrator²

We use the Imu interface at the IMA. We have two nightly scripts that run
to export data using Imu into our digital asset management system and into
our Collection Middleware layer. The collection middleware is used to
